Welcome to our place.

The Green Room is a consultancy specialising in research, communications and fundraising, on a range of environmental, development and sustainability issues.

We have experience of working in developing countries in South America, South East Asia and the Pacific, in addition to more than 10 years combined experience working within a major international environmental NGO.

Christian Thompson is an experienced environmental research and communications consultant, with recent work in Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Peru and Russia. At WWF from 2001 to 2006, Christian coordinated and led in-depth research on issues relating to sustainable forest management and endangered species conservation, in support of large-scale programmes and high-profile advocacy campaigns. Since the beginning of 2006, he has worked as a research consultant to DFID, CDC and as a communications advisor to a number of NGO offices in Asia Pacific. He has a BA in Corporate Communications, covering marketing, public relations, journalism, intercultural
communication, project management, research & development, corporate structure and culture, organisational behaviour.

Torva Thompson is an experienced fundraising and communications consultant, with recent work in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. At WWF from 2001 to 2006, Torva successfully raised funds from a range of charitable trusts covering a broad spectrum of conservation programmes. Since the beginning of 2006, she has been a fundraising consultant for NGOs in the South Pacific, as well as developing new publications promoting regional conservation work to corporate and government audiences.

Torva is currently developing the design capacity of The Green Room with the aim of providing an affordable and professional design service in the coming months. She has a BA in Social Policy.
